Analysis of production data and quality management systems / Production Process Improvement

At each stage of a product’s production process, we need to know if the product is processed following certain quality and safety standards that are essential elements for the favorable acceptance of the product by consumers. It must also be assessed whether a production process is successful. During the production process, there are two major problems encountered in the quality of the final product: deviations from the specifications we set as a goal and the intense variability around the achievement of the specifications
In order to improve or eliminate these problems, certain areas of the statistical quality control methodology (control charts) have been developed, organized so that we can monitor the quality of the produced products at any moment in the various stages of their processing and intervene correctively at the stage that appears the problem.

PROFIT
What do you win?
1. Improved product standardization resulting in:
• Reduction of production costs since a smaller amount of material will be produced outside of specifications
• Increase in product reputation with consequent increase in sales and consumer satisfaction
• Defining stricter specification limits and thus a more strictly tested product

2. Increase in production rate:
• Maximizing production at the lowest possible cost results in an increase in the company’s profits, even if this is done with a relatively small increase in costs for upgrading the production process

3. Improvement of production process:
• 1. Improving product quality by changing process variables
• 2. Reduce production costs by knowing how process variables affect the organoleptic characteristics of the product
• 3. Stabilization of production by reducing fluctuations (output prices)
• 4. Creation of a database to record the progress of the product over time
